Ready to make a shift?
I am honored that you found your way to this site. Welcome!
It is difficult to ask for help when we recognize we need it for mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. It is natural to be apprehensive before beginning the counseling process.
I will meet you where you are.
You are tired of feeling sad, anxious, and overwhelmed. Whether you are feeling this way in your daily life – or are frustrated in your relationships – rest assured that you will find an atmosphere of acceptance and compassion as I walk with you on a journey to a better life.
I chose to become a Marriage and Family therapist because I believe in the sanctity of marriage. My heart aches when I see a couple giving up and filing for divorce.
My attention will be focused on you.
You will get my attention and feel my entire presence during our meeting. I see you, I hear you, and I feel you. We will walk at your pace; deep, life-changing healing can take time.
But helping you is my passion.
I feel joy when my clients gain new insights into their concerns. It’s like a bright light just turned on inside them, causing them to radiate that same light outward.
It’s a beautiful sight to see this healing process; it’s like watching a flower blossom.
About Me
I am prepared to help you.
I have been helping individuals and couples now for eleven years. In 2013, I obtained a master’s degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Because of my affinity for helping those with trauma in their past, I took additional training using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
My spouse and I have been married for 32 years. We have four adult children but no grandkids yet! But we’re patiently waiting. 😊
We have lived our lives.
And, yes, we have had our share of pains, tribulations, rainy days, stormy days, and of course, sunny days. We faced a tough season of disconnect when we moved to Florida in 2003.
Divorce was mentioned but quickly discarded when we both realized the commitment we had made to each other when we got married. We were active church members and sought help through their marriage ministry.
We were both believers, but our faith was weak back then. I thank God we were open to participating in a weekend marriage workshop. We received a shower of grace that weekend.
Our eyes were opened, and we learned to see each other through God’s lens. We knew our marriage could not be just between us as people of faith. We needed to open our hearts to allow Christ to guide us. We shifted from being self-centered to being Christ-centered.
Love is the supreme value and objective in life.
Without love, nothing I say will matter, nothing I know will matter, nothing I believe will matter, nothing I give will matter, nothing I accomplish will matter. Love is the most significant power in life.
I don’t have any hobbies, but I enjoy listening to a variety of music, from Christian to salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbias, Ecuadorian folk music, and music from the 80s and 90s.
As a young couple, my husband and I enjoyed dancing quite a lot. We lived in New York back then and had plenty of choices to go dancing the night away. Now, we just put on the music and dance at home.
